FAQ's
FAQ's
What is composite Decking?
Composite Decking is a material mixed with wood fibres and eco-friendly polymer resin plastics. Composite decking is more durable than regular timber or wooden decking but has the unique appearance and feel of natural wood.
How is composite decking made?
Weather-resistant decking is made from a capped wood plastic composite, which means it has an advanced premium shield encasing ALL four sides around its inner core. The shield and core are extruded together under a very high temperature mould simultaneously, so there are no adhesives or chemicals that are harmful to the environment.
Is Composite Decking environmentally friendly?
Our products are made from 95% recycled materials, including clear plastic bottles and reclaimed wood fibers. We’ve reduced our carbon footprint through waste reduction, energy conservation and a vertically integrated manufacturing process.
Is Compsoite Decking Low Maintenance?
The board capped in an impermeable layer of protection. This makes the board stain and fade resistant. The boards are waterproof so only sweeping and cleaning off debris and dirt is required for upkeep; ultra low maintenance and easily wiped clean.
Will the colour fade because of the sun?
Hundreds of hours of direct UV testing has left minimal change to the colour of Composite Boards.
Does composite decking cost more than timber decking?
In the short term composite decking will cost more than a wooden deck. However, a wooden deck will require maintenance such as oiling or painting every year to keep it looking good. Composite Decking is nearly maintenance free and has a longer life span than regular decking.
